MediaPortal Version: 0.2.2.0

Hi,

I was wondering how you can tell the framrate of a movie you are playing. When playing NTSC I want to use 60 Hz refresh rate on my projector and for PAL 50 Hz. Is it possible in MediaPortal to start a movie and display the FPS value?

1. press "!" in mp to get fps stats

2. Use the "refreshratecontrol" plugin to estimate video rates and switch output rate

3. Use Reclock to do this stuff optimally (including audio/video sync).

Thanks for the answer!

I have now installed the plugin and started configure PowerStrip. I also installed a program called JudderTest to make sure that my display and HTPC are in synch. JudderTest displays a moving pattern that when set up correctly (PowerStrip) will run smoothly on screen.

When set to 60 Hz JudderTest didnt run smooth but at 61.738 Hz it did. Shall I do the same thing for PAL (50, 75, 100, 120, ... Hz) and for film ((24fps): 48, 72, 96, ... Hz) and try to find refresh rates that run smooth in JudderTest?

Didn't test this but is it possible to tell the refreshRate plugin to use a frequency like 61.738 Hz?
