Hi guys,

still no joy I'm afraid. :(

I reset my card to AGP 4x just to make sure there's no funny business going on and lowered my rez to something you can read from space...

MP minimise and GUI exit were just because I was using the watchdog program wrong I think :)

I can confirm I'm .net'ed up to 3.5 and including all 'Vista approved' patches required and that its also a full version of Vitsa 32 ultimate.

GPU-Z tells me that its deffo an AGP 8x card, but I'm leaving it as-is just now.

Ive got logs and these's also a desktop picture of whats happening :D

One funny thing was that when I was playing, it launched to the white screen, then I switched to full screen, alt-tabbed (mucking around) and when focus went back to MP it had menu's and everything!

I then colsed it and replicated what I done, but I cant get it to show again... Think it's just teasing me by showing me a glimpse lol

Again, thanks for the time you guys are spending looking into it for me- its much appriciated!

Same issue here with Vista and a Nvidia 7600 GS 256MB AGP. I have seen it for a while now, when minimizing/restoring. But now it's even worse. The packedtextures fix does not work here.
- MP worked a little better with less fonts, but the memory ran out eventually.
- Enabling/disabling the ...to tray stuff does not help
- I updated Nvidia to the latest driver that works with 7600, and now I can hardly start MP at all.
- Downdated to Omegadriver for Nvidia. Now it starts but minimize to tray a few times and DX runs out of videomemory.
- There is no problem with minimizing with WindowsKey+D
- There MUST be some part in the program that steals a lot of videomem and doesn´t leave it back.
I can also get this if TV is running while minimizing:

- Clean install of 1.0, Still runs out of memory when minimize/restore... But slightly better... memory seems to come back now, after a while.
We just have to keep testing...

Discussed here too

Sooo I went back to RC3 and now it works... Immediate responce when minimizing/restoring and no Out of memory DX errors. What have you introduced since then dear devs?

Tried latest RC3 SVN, and have big problems with minimize/restore. White screen, no tray icon, you name it... So, I guess the main problem was introduced allready in RC3 SVN's

Were there any new DX stuff introduced by then? Maybe something that all GPU's can't handle, or that DX10 couldn't?

edit: Hmm, so I raised AGP Aperture size in bios from 32 to 256 and my problems were gone. No more DX errors in the Vista setup. The laptop has no such setting, but works well with the packet texture fix.
