Well this is all over the place but i beleave i m the first one to detect that grey is in fact "no contrast"?

well i manage to get my xfx nvtv card working in RC4 using a graphedit as a plugins as puting this values in
Nvidia Proc Amp

brigtness 5000 default one
contrast 7000 default is 5000 so no image
hue 5000
saturation 6800 default 5000

i didnt find a settings on mediacenter to change this
my card is detected as a aopen va something but is a nvtv single tuner
mediaportal complains twice every time i edit the card that cant create a graph.
i m using windows mce with directx9c and latestes nvtv drivers from nvidia 2 fev 2005 i think

hope this will make some light
some info from the developpers where this setting can be set when mediaportal starts is greatly apreciated.

Thanks

get graphedit.exe if you dont have it

now go configuration on and in general remove the check box "allways on top" so you can see other programs
and put your mediaportal in windows mode to check if it works
now start mediaportal when its menu appears start graphedit
in graph edit go to file and conect to remote graph
a window will open with at least a process select that process
a graph will open in graph edit now choose nvtv output the one that is connected to nvtv crossbar to the right and with right mouse bottun choose filter properties
a new window will open with pal_b on top you can see a colour tab
its where brightness contrast and hue are and a default button
mode the contrast to 7000 and saturation to 6800 now exit graphedit
run mytv the image is no longer grey.....
i now run graphedit inside mediaportal in created inside plugins program page is easy to start and i can do it with mediaportal fullscreen

i will put print screens on my site as soon as i can

one sidenote TVcapture.dll from the test site works better them the one in svn 12-06

found a way to my card is detected corretly

so i was looking to my devices and found in cardconfiguration.xml that aopen as a line like this pci#ven_123f&dev_8120&subsys_01e310de&rev_b1 and nvtv single tuner like this pci#ven_123f&dev_8120&subsys_01e210de&rev_b1 so as my nvtv xfx its not an aopen its a nvtv single tuner i switch this and now configuration detects my card as a nvtv single tuner one
well the rest is exactly the same but i will continue to dig in and try to find more stuff lol
i checked in my grahedit and my device is a subsys_01e310de one

i dont have an va2000 bla bla i have a nvtv single tuner card lol hapy now mediaportal knows that also

If you delete the old car_card*.xml file in your database directory and then start MP, MyTV do you see picture?

There are no files at all in the database dir.
Only another dir called convert witch is also empty

i think its a yes i deleted car.. xml from the database dir run configuration aggain and everything is working. need be i delete entire mediaportal dir lol a startover
configure says it cant create graph twice something about an exeption as error log says, but as i can see with graphedit mediaportal when it runs creates the graph its there,
i thing i would have picture (not grey) if after it start that line i see in mediaportal log that says " video proc amp default setting" wont run (cos if i press default -a button on video proc amp - everything returns to grey) that confusing well i m on holiday so have some time :)

now running mediaportal-svn-06-14-2006--02-08 with that NVTV single tuner change.
