ok well i can say for a fact that i use project 64, nestopia, fusion, and zsnes, and ALL of them work and are supported. Yes you need to use a program like HIP or girder to bind Alt+F4 to a remote key, sorry it is the only way i know of to get all of them to close.

Tip: before you decide to bash this project or plugin, why not ask for help? i know how frusterating this can be to setup but there is no need to whine, moan and groan about it. LEARN how to fix it, and if you need help, ASK!!! that is what forums are for

Good tip there :)

As you noticed, a scan is done in all the folders for ROMs when the ROM tab is activated, which can take some time if there are many ROMs.

About the issue of closing an emulator: since the emulator, not MP, has focus I have no idea how to capture user input. If anyone has an idea, just make a post.

Project 64 should be working, as long as the use quotes option is disabled. It does however behave strangely on my laptop, but works good on my other computer with a better graphics card. I think MP eats some resources, and then proj64 complains about that.

chreekar,
i dont know how to capture a keypress, but i can tell you that another emulator frontend, called gameex does do it. perhaps it can help? example: when i press the esc key the emulator closes. and it works on all the emulators setup in the frontend.

To have an image for the emulator, place a picture (png, jpg or gif) in the thumbs\myEmulators\emulators and name it exactly the same as the name shown in MP. For the games, place the image in thumbs\myEmulators\games. If the name of the game is changed in the ROM tab in configuration, then the image should have the same name as that. So if my file is named SuperMarioAll-Stars.smc and I have renamed it to Super Mario AS, then the image should be named Super Mario AS.jpg (or png or gif).

Okay, then the settings cannot be saved. If you open up the configuration and press apply without doing any changes, does the error message still appear? If not, try pressing apply after adding each emulator to see when the problem arises.
