i havent really used MyPrograms, it's pretty confusing. It does have more options than MyEmulators though. Someone else should answer this question, but I'd say give MyEmulators a try cuz it's easier to set up (and make sure to check the FAQ if u have problems). If it doesn't do what you want then have a go at MyPrograms.

Version 2.0 released

just tried it out, it works (tried it on bluetwo and spinsafe revolve).

for the fast reply and testing! The new version is uploaded to the plugins page now, and I will submit an mpi package tomorrow. I have thoughts of rewriting almost everything to make it more flexible and allow for differnet filters and sorting options to run at once etc. I feel that I can't add much more before it all falls apart the way I've coded it now, so when I start working on version 3.0, I will probably restart. Then I could add the alphabetical sort option, and perhaps even let the user define it's own filters and sorting options. We'll see what happens in the future...

sweet, mpi packages are nice. & new features always sound good :]

btw since it already sorts alphabetically when you first go in to a rom list could you not just tell it to do whatever it does again? or since cycling through the view options resets it could you not just add a button that just sets it back to list view (or whatever view ur on, maybe just auto cycling the view 3x) and just call it a sort button? idk maybe its not as easy as it seems.

Anyone have problems launching MAME through MyEmulators? I keep getting Direct3D errors, even when not using DirectX as my default video display mode.

I can get MAME+ to play correctly out of MP, but launching a rom within MP gives me the error.

I am using MP RC1, with MyEmulators v2.0, on Vista 32bit, with ATi 8.7 drivers.

See if you have checked the option to run MP in exclusive mode (Expert settings > DirectShow Filter Control > Video Renderer Settings). If so, try to uncheck it.

I've thought about it, but then the filesize would go from <150 KB to >2 MB and that's a bit too large I think.

I'm new to this project and decided to skip Windows MCE and directly test MP, I hope it's way easier to include all my Emulators and Roms into MP than into MCE, I read about many problems with that.
Hope Gens, Project 64, Nemu64, ZSNES, Virtual Boy Advance, pSX and ePSXe will work, cause I've no experience with media centers at all
