Excellent idea to use a wiki, but not a separate one. I think we should use MediaPortal's own wiki if we want to do this...

I have downloaded the latest version of MyEmulator from this thread. I get an error message if I click on "Game Database".

just posted an issue (thumbnails, info not showing up for all ROMs) i am having with myemulators to newly created wiki (discussed earlier in posts). Please let me know if that will work or if i should post here, thank you.

It is located in (for XP) C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team Mediaportal\Mediaportal\database\myEmulators3.db3 Or you could just wait until I release the next version during this week to get it fixed since that one will use a new db file

i would post in this thread. i'm pretty sure that wiki doesnt even have any content yet, so nobody is really looking at it yet.

The SVN versions definitely have bugs, and that's why I'm not calling them releases. The releases are the ones I put up on the web page, and they should be stable.

Anyway, I've made a major upgrade and uploaded it to the SVN. The things I've done since last time are:

- Fixed the problem with not allowing switches for emulators, it should not complain about it any more.

- If the working folder box is left empty in the configuration of an emulator, it will use the folder of the emulator as the working folder.

- PC Games! They now have their own category on the main screen.

- Importing and exporting of game meta data, done from a new tab in the configuration. This is an example of a file I generated from the plugin:

The matching is done entirely on the title of a game. That means we run into problems if a game has several names (ie a translated title) but right now I think it's the best way. With a little hacking, someone should be able to make a tool for importing .dat files from MAME for example. If we together build up a big enough database, I will in the future put the big xml file on my web server and let the plugin sync with it.

I still have two things left to do: fix bugs and put in what ajp8164 did, but after that I think I'm ready for release :)
