found possible bug?

First of all...thx for this great plugin...I use it a lot !!!

But is there a bug? If I start a movie and press ESC the movie will run minmized (bottom/left). While the movie is running minimized I select "My Emulators" and start a game. What happens is, that the movie is running minimized anyway and the emulator will not come to the top =( but is running in the background.

The "My Emulators" works well if I not run a movie first and is running minimized.

Possible solution. The plugin has to stop any content that is running if I run a emulated game.

I hope it helps, it would help me a lot.

MyEmulators not saving config

Hey Guys,
I have a problem that myemulators is not saving whatever i configure in it.

Setup:
ASUS EEE Box PC 1012
Running Windows 7 Ultimate

Installed:
Media Portal 1.1.0 (the newest beta)
MyEmulators (the newest svn release that i downloaded yesterday 26-10-2009)

Problem:
When i go into media portal configuration and then the configuration for myemulators, i add an emulator (Playstation), enter all the needed information and then press ok.
If i then start the configuration of myemulators again its empty.
I've also tried configuring two emulators and "saving" and then entering myemulator configuration again and the result is the same: its empty.

Im guessing its related to the fact that im running windows 7 (all drivers for my setup is for win7 so ive no real choice)

Any help / advice / things to try out would be much appreciated.

Is anyone running a working copy on Win 7? Maybe there's something wrong with the saving of the configuration file. You don't get any error messages at all?

no there are no error messsages what so ever, things seems to be working as intended but nothing is saved once you exit the config window.

i hope someone has a good idea on what to try because we used to use this plugin all the time on my old media center and love it

Hi there, I'm using Win7 and have no dramas with the plugin. Try pressing "Apply" instead of "Save" that way you can check the files have been saved.

I found out what the problem was.

When i was running the emulator setup the setup window was so resized in such a way that i could not see the apply and save buttons so i thought it was just saving it when i closed the window on the upper right X.

I resized the window so i could see the buttons and now it works.

might be an idea to look at that window for the developer tho so other ppl dont get the problem.

3.2 won't launch any game when using "Show only PC Games"

My Emulators 3.2 won't launch any PC games when using "Show only PC Games".

It goes directly to PC Games (Which i love, thank-you), but it won't launch them.... it makes the clicking sound but nothing happens....

If I chose any other view first (ie. "most played,favorites,top graded,etc), then they will launch, and THEN if I go back to the normal views they will launch.

If I launch MY Emulators with "Show only PC Games" disabled, it works as normal.


Also would it be possible to make it an OPTION to have MediaPortal minimise when launching PC games? I sometimes will pause a game and ALT-TAB out of it to watch TV in MP or set up a timer,etc.... But when My Emulators 3.2 launches (and Minimises MP) you have NO access to MP until you exit the game. I understand this is a feature that some people want... and I woiuld like it too if I still could get back into MP while the game was still running.

Great plug-in, use it everyday... with the above bugs fixed the only other option I would LOVE to se would be the ability to play video clips for each game as you browse through them....
