AW: "Old" screen after resume from standby

Attached the mp.log:

Entering standby at 20:17:09
TV was switched on all the time
Resuming from standby at 20:17:40
"Frozen" last screen was visible 2 seconds after activating HTPC again
Screen gets "defrozen" at 20:17:53

I had my wifi-adapter disabled and set the TV-Service IP to 127.0.0.1
But no quick wakeup... :-(
Any help?

    I can confirm this "problem"

I like to see only a black screen after resume untill the new image is ready with rendering..

same problem here ... it needs between 10-15 senconds after standby until mp is usable again ...
all my 4 clients have the same problem. I think since 120 alpha ... but I'm not sure ...

If you need more logs ... let me know

Have the same experience delays start of MP is approximately 12-13 sec. but today I tried to run in debug mode. In "Report a Bug to Team MediaPortal" (running the core MP and native plugins only) is a slight delay after waking up to 1 sec.

    Found the "bug"! :D

I disabled fanarthandler and the problem is gone. Now MP is usable after max. 2 seconds without "old Screen".

Maybe you can test and confirm that it is working without fanarthandler for you, too.

I'll post our problem in fanarthandler thread. Maybe we found a solution there.

Spraklesnes, I don't think you need logs anymore?

I tested again with similar results, but ...

My standard configuration - delay after resume till new and active screen aprox. 12-13 sec (logging level set to ERROR).

    • Configuration - Startup/resume settings - Clear "Turn monitor /tv on when resuming standby", "Allow S3 standby although wake up device standby", "Apply workaround to fix MediaPortal freezing on resume on some systems":- 2 sec
    • Disable Fanart Handler plugin: - 3 sec
    • Disable Latest Media Handler plugin: - 3 sec

Means that now the delay is around 4-5 sec of pressing the button POWER on the remote control (there is more then 1 sec HDD start)

But old and neactive screen persist. Only now is very short, so it usually hides in the time frame of display start-up delaying.

i can also confirm this problem.
now that i have an ssd, its more disturbing then it was, as i used an hdd.
i think its becouse the ssd is faster and the system is quicker if its resumeing from standby.
for some secounds, i allways see the old screen if the system resumes from standby.
then mp is a kind of short flashing and then its ready.

    best regards

    My results,

    - disabling fanart handler: no effect
    - disabling media handler: no effect
    - disabling other plugins: no effect
    - disabling tv (4TR): no delay after startup, no old screen visible!!

The tv plugin seems to wait for a connection to the 4TR core service before going further.
I guess it's the same with the original tv plugin, as it also needs a connection to the tv server.
