I'm thinking of getting a Hauppauge WinTV Nova S2 to record TV from FTA satellite. According to the requirements my computer should be fine to run MP - but my Video is on board rather than separate card and I know it doesn't perform as well as separate card so will it run MP OK? Any other gotchas?

Thanks!

the 6150 is perfect for mpeg2 if you use the Nvidia purevideo decoders ==> hardware mpeg2 decoding.
SD tv is fine even with software decoding. HD (1080i) is fine with purevideo. H264 gets no hardware accel.
Your athlon may be ok for software decoding of HD mpeg2 and maybe even H264. The best way to find out is to download FFmpeg and try it out with your favourite HD movies. :)

I've got a similar setup here: Asus A8N-VM CSM with a 6150 and a single core 3700+
