If you use basic home screen, get focus on the music section, press play and the plugin should generate a random playlist of 100 songs.  In the configuration, you can change this, and also program the keys from 1 to 9 on your remote, e.q. genres, artist and so on. 

This is a plugin that I use often, very good one.

Hope this help you using the plugin.

But if you're using classic home screen, pressing play button on your remote should generate playlist, does not matter where the focus is, if I remember correctly.
