    Re: OnlineVideos 0.23 (29.06.2010)

If you are using MePo 1.02 with 0.20, then you cannot use the AutoUpdate (or any other update options) in OnlineVideos, because it will download new dlls that were build against new Onlinevideos version. As stated in the first post, we won't maintain two version because we dont' have the time.

Would be possible to block the autopudate for those not using the latest ? If you add a versioning of the plugin in the update protocol, would be easily fixed ;)

O.K. so this was not clear to me. I thought that 0.20 would not be updated but the sites would be maintained. So what is the best way to fix this? Reinstall 0.20 and never run update? If I do a fresh install will it have all the updates until you released 0.21? One of the fixes you did along the way corrected the thumbnail images for yahoo music videos for me.

Could you just post the latest dll's that were for 0.20 for me to put it back? I just want to fix yahoo music videos.

I can understand it is a lot of work to maintain this plugin but this is the latest stable release of MP. I do not plan to quickly jump to the new version as a lot of time was spent getting this to all work correctly and there seems to be no easy migration path (no upgrade option). I get that you do not want to make any more changes but can the sites not be maintained?

    Thanks...

    Re: OnlineVideos 0.23 (29.06.2010)

There's no other option than re-installing 0.20 and disable AutoUpdate if you don't plan on upgrading to 1.1 But as time passes more and more sites will not work - that's just how it is with online content that is changing rapidly.
Maintaining the sites also means changing code. And since this project is a work in progress, we also have to change the base code that all other site utils rely on.
MePo 1.1 will be final in the next few weeks, and that will be the only supported version - by the MePo team and plugin authors.

    Re: OnlineVideos 0.23 (29.06.2010)

    Hi guys,

Hoping someone can help .I have MP 1.1RC6 and online videos 0.23, and i cant for the life of me get it to work. It times out when trying to update the list of online videos, and every online videos site i've tried times out too when trying to scrape the rss feeds (or whatever it does for each site).

I've tried increasing the timeout in the config, and tried going to direct to some rss feeds which work fine and are super quick. Can anyone help here, have i missed something obvious?

    Thanks!

    Here's the debug log file:

2010-07-11 12:40:51.781250 [ERROR][OnlineVideos(31)]: [OnlineVideos]System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 10.2.18.89:8002

edit...oh thats interesting...it's trying to connect to a local address? Is this hard coded? Odd address as i'm on a 192.168 network!

Ah..just found this and answered my own question:

    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/onlinevideos-244/error-getting-site-overview-resolved-81440/

Ok..that fixed it! Weird bug somewhere, not sure whose responsibility that one would be! Just goes to show post+solve works :)

rolling it back to 0.20 and disabling auto updates fixed it, thanks...

    Re: OnlineVideos 0.23 (29.06.2010)

I am having issues with South Park World. The episode images and descriptions load fine but when I try to play I get an error about loading the url. I am running MP 1.1 RC6 and using the 0.23 version of the plugin. I will get an error log if its not a know issue with the site.

    Thanks!

Next version (0.24) will block AutoUpdate if user is not running latest version. Code already in SVN.

It could be a known problem, if I knew what the problem was...
So can you give me the logfiles? Then I will contact you for some more info based on what I see in the log-files, and then I can finally fix it.

    Hi,

Great work on this plugin. Looks great. However, Justin.tv says "error getting playback urls for video". Any idea why the videos wont work for justin.tv?

    Cheers,
    Colin
