The search option is by design only enabled on sites that support searching in the code.
This list sounds about right:
You Tube
Metacafe
Daily Motion
Break
Yahoo
Empflix

The same goes for the next and prev page. The only site that supports this atm is:
DasErste.

Hello,
Apple Trailers and/or Second Channel of German Television Mediathek do not function yet. At Apple Trailer comes still the error message: NO translation found for ID 104755
With Second Channel of German Television Mediathek is indicated only an empty list.
Lying close the logs files…

ZDF only works sometimes. I have no idea why. Maybe their server are overloaded?
As for the translation ID, I have no clue where this comes from, but apple trailers should still work fully.

Hi guys,

I've found the reason for this error in the log (NO translation found for ID 104755). There has to be an entry in the MediaPortal language file for "Online Videos". Like this:

<String id="104755" prefix="My ">Online Videos</String>

The number 104755 is the plugin ID and MediaPortal looks in "strings_en.xml" to find the name of that ID. But it doesn't affect the functionality of the plugin.

Since the language files are installed by MediaPortal itself, I guess the plugin has to be "registered" with the development team. I don't know...


Also, there's a new skin version 1.1.2 available here.

Unfortunately, the strange "Menu shadow effect" discussed here will only be fixed with a new version of the OnlineVideos plugin. To avoid it, don't press ESC or the BACK button on your remote while the menu is still opened.

Habe mal die Datei strings_de.xml angepasst.
Danach tritt der Fehler nicht mehr auf. Allerdings wird immer noch kein Video abgespielt.
MediaPortal hängt sich dann auf.

Thanks Michel.... working here as expected, with the AppleTrailers cast info, and confirming that the "ghost" context menus can be avoided as you describe. The next / prev page actions don't seem to be working still though.

Great work guys. Really good to see some collaborative work going into this plugin. It really expands MP's "reach" into the world of internet based video.

I reported a while back that this plugin interferes with MyFilms;
MyFilms is not showing any description anymore instead it show the text "ription" (so the last leeters of DESCription)
The same thing happens with the new TVGemist plugin, also show "ription".

When I disable onlinevideos 0.8.9 all is fine again. No errors in log

Yeah, I've found the problem. Nothing that can be fixed without some changes to the OnlineVideos plugin. I'll PM offbyone and explain what I've found.

@ globaldonkey: The Previous/Next Page menu options will work in the next release of my StreamedMP skin. Sorry about that.
