Try to manually install it (open with ..) with the old installer exe from the mediaportal dir : MPInstaller.exe

Hi,

for me fast forward/backward does not wotk for most video streams. The total time of the videos is also "00:00" for most videos. Is there any possibility to enable this function.


offbyone: Maybe it would be a good idea to add an installation howto on top of the thread or at least in your wiki. I've only read the last ten pages, but found the question three (?) times.

Another question or idea: A Download feature would be great. Would it be possible to add such feature (similar to e.g vdownloader)?

Seems to be impossible to get this to work. I have suggested before them to allow using of external player, since atleast VLC-player works better with skipping and ff.

There is a download feature. Can be found under info-button.

I have installed Online videos into the latest 1.1RC1 release using the bluewide skin I cannot get the LHS menu to appear when I mouse left ( it seems to work using left key on remote or left arrow on KB but not with the mouse. Any ideas.

MediaPortal is not supposed to be controlled with mouse. And the hidden menu only shows when it gets focus by moving left from the list, which can't be done wth mouse. Why would you want to control an HTPC application with the mouse.

A download option is accessable in the context menu of the selected video.

I'm not sure why a How-to install would be neccessary, it's the same with any other MediaPortal plugin.... normally just doubleclick. The How-to would only involve cases where this won't work

Hmm, I´m sorry to say that I do have a very strong opinion to that: As there are a lot of people out there using MP on their PCs (and if I´m not totally wrong this is even the majority...) or use touchscreens, it is absolutely paramount to be able to control MP with mouse as well. But as you said it normally works when moving the mouse from the list to the left (at least in all my skins).
BTW: For me OnlineVideos is at least one of the best plugins for MP, if not the best one

Yeah you can always use a skin that is better for mouse than Blue3Wide.

Sidenote: I am not a designer, so if someone wants to do a better skin for B3 or B3W, go for it!

Hi all,
I've stumbled upon something annoying: if you unlock the parental site by entering the pin, this is remembered when you next time open online video screen. so once unlocked its open until MP is closed.

This is a "no go" for me :-( Are there workarounds or config options I missed?
