Yeah, I know, and I agree. And I don't take offence. I recognise the huge effort and complexity inherent in these sorts of things. I'm just trying to give a fresh perspective so that we don't lose sight of the need to make simplification and clarity a design goal.


I'll get around to reading the 52 pages, as I always do, at some point. But we shouldn't forget that plugins and features lose their appeal if the only people that use it are the ones willing or are capable of understanding the devil in the detail!

Hi!
Is it possible to make a subdirectory. In apple trailers for example i want list all the Thriller feeds (there are more then one) under the directory Thriller. Can i do a change in OnlineVideoSites.xml?

Onlinevideo is a super plugin.

Only when I run the videos, which require registration it dosent play the video. For example, in Daily Motion. The configuration of user and password, and I Confirm involved.

Does anyone have a tip for me?

I noticed that the virtual keyboard in this plugin doesn't allow sms style input. It's possible in the MyWorldMap plugin virtual keyboard which looks identical. Looking through the log files I found that you use a slightly different version of the keyboard:

Would it be possible to also use the NewVirtualKeyboard in OnlineVideos plugin? I find it much faster to type sms style using the remote.

Hi Guys,
What a great idea for a plugin!!

Just some remarks and questions before I install this plugin.
How stable is the current version and what are the known issues?
Are there specific install instructions or can one just download and install it intuitively?
I see you've been working on the plugin for over a year now. Is there any chance there will be an official, stable release version in the near future? Because I couldn't yet find it in the plugins section.

Maybe you can mention some of the above in the opening post, for everybodys convenience.

first of all, great plugin, i had not seen it before.

i have notice that if you choose "big icons" as view within mp you cant get out of that option to the videos. can someone confirm this? i guess its a bug.

It could be better if you can select big icons view for video thumbnails and listview for categories, channels, etc....

what do u think?

hi. this is just the plugin ive been lookin for, seeing how i dont have a tv card just yet and need something to hold me over, but i cant seem to get it to work straight. that and the web browser plugin. im pretty sure i followed the directions straight but when i go to configure it, it returns this error about unhandled exceptions, and it ask to continue or quit. heres the kicker when i clik continue it goes to config. but i cant save any changes because of unhandled exceptions error again. cliking cont. does nothing and returns the same error again. clik quit and it closes mp config. same as with the web browser plugin. so i unistalled mp completely to do a clean install and start over. im computer literate but this is baffling me. any suggestions.

You need latest MP Snapshots and 0.30 version of onlinevideos.

hey thanks for the response, but those mp snapshots crash my mp config

you kno what nevermind. my dumb mistake. for some reason i thought i was using the latest mp. i never should have doubted the mp gurus. i was usin sesamtv to hold me over. haha. wow. cant believe i uninstalled and reinstalled this so many times. took me all freakin day to finally realize i didnt have the latest version. i am seriously kiking myself right now. wooooo. glad i got that off my chest.

i wanna personally thank all of those who helped me through these trying times. sorry im just so emotional right now. but i wanna let u all kno that we did it. not u or i but we. yes we did it.
