Only lowres TV picture with PVR150MCE (2 Viewers)

After switching from a Pinnacle PC100 External USB tv-card to a Hauppage PVR150MCE internal card, I can only watch tv-channels in a horrible low resolution. Even a complete new Windows XP install and upgrading tot MediaPortal 0.2.2.0 and upgrading card-drivers to the latest version did no good, I searched all topics, faqs,troubleshooting oages etc but no-one seems to have run into the same problem.

when scanning the tv-channels, the resolution in the small scanning window seems ok , but as soon as I start Mediaportal and select myTv, the windowed version as well as the full-screen version are displayed in a very-very low non-watchable resolution. Is there any way in which I can control the resolution, for instance through a xml-setup file?

I would appreciate any help,tips,advice because I think MediaPortal and generally Open Source are a great thing!

Check the resolution in cofiguration.exe -> TV -> TV cards -> (your card). For PAL it should be set to 720x576, NTSC is something like 600x480.

Hi Jetboy, thanx for the advice but I already set the resolution at 720x576 (Pal) and still the same. I'll include an actual screenshot.

which driver version do you use?

Make sure you enabled "Use Quality Settings" for PVR cards in:
Configure->Television->Capture Cards->PVR 150(edit)->Quality

I'm currently the person working on the area of the code that controls quality. If you could set the quality and post your log file (mediaportal.log or something like that) I would appreciate it. There is the outside chance that quality control will not work on the pvr 150 and even if it does, I would like to see the messages. Thanks

Changing the quality-settings makes no difference, even in high quality there is no change in quality.

I included the Mediaportal.log file (quality setting: high).

Driver version of the tv card: DriverVer=08/15/2006,2.0.48.24227
