I have been struggling with this for two days now and hope somebody can help. When I play a DVD only the top half of the picture gets shown stretched across the screen. I have tried this with several dvds.

I have installed ffdshow as per instructions:
Simple, Full Featured Mediaportal Codec
Guide
Version 0.2 - Goose

After a lot of struggling I could only get other videos to display with the Used Enhanced Video Renderer option checked in the Direct Show Filter Control (otherwise I get just a black screen)

The problem with the DVD persists though, only the top half. I have tired both ffdshow and MPV under the DVD codec option.

The DVD plays in Media Player 11

Any suggestions, I am at my wits end.

Regards

Hi

After struggling with this for a week, as a last resort I have installed XP. Everything now works out of the box. As I don't like the browsing on MC I will leave this configuration.
