Opening list of movies is instant when LAN cable is unplugged "long" wait whenit'snot (1 Viewer)

Just noticed that when my network cable is not connected to the the list of movies ("all movies" inside Mediaportal) opens instantly, I've had some problems with a relatively long waiting times waiting for the lists to load, sometimes as much as 30 seconds, but I'm currently at around 10-15 seconds so this got me wondering:

Is there any way to "exploit" the fact that it loads the list instantly when the network cable is unplugged?

This most likely relates to the MediaInfo scans that are being done and some real long delays can be added then. A fix for this is in the works, and it will require an update to MediaPortal (tagged for v1.1.1 release) and once that is done MovingPictures will have to be updated.

So just be patient for a little bit longer

Ok, thanks, I just noticed that is was instant when my cable was out so though it might be a workaround of some sort.

MediaInfo probably plays a role, but I think this is most likely is primarily due to checks to determine which movies are online and which are not. We are working on improving this for 1.1 and it is one of our highest priorities.

Thanks I looked at the Issue on the Google Code site before posting, but didn't see anything related to what I had experiensed so I decided to create this thread. But it seems as if you're on top of it already. If you want me to gather some logs leg me know.

Oh and I did a reimport and it's gotten even faster again now, down to about 5 seconds, it seems that if you copy the database from another computer it will increase the loadtimes, atleast that's my experiense.
