    Talked with tourette about that.
We decided to have a mixture of both options.
    1. You can select a language
    2. If the language is found on the current channel it gets activated
    3. if it is not found, look what the selection was as the user last viewed the channel and activate that stream

I think this would be the best solution

Hey that's really great news! I really appreciate that you guys have made the best out of the two suggestions.

However, how does this solution work with the "AC3 preferred" option?

is there any update on this?
I do not want to push that but I am really looking forward to test that feature... :)

Not sure if this is related, but sometimes when I watch a recorded show there is no sound. If I go to the streams option in the context menu and choose the second MPEG stream then the sound is back to normal.
It looks to me like the wrong stream is being selected, so for me an option to set the preferred would be ideal. Any other Australians get this?
I think it is to do with the old "slightly non-standard" sound issue that we have in Aust. It was an issue with the TV2 engine quite a while ago.

Sounds good. Also I don't know if its related but I noticed that when I playback a recorded video and select audio channels it only lists a 'unknown' track.
I manually checked the TS file in VLC and it shows all the audio tracks are present and working MP just wont allow you to select it.

    Hey People,

at first, let me thank you you for the great work you've done.
    I love to TVServer.

    Regarding the "AC3 prefered" feature:
It works, as long as I start to view an AC3 channel by switching the TV on, but if I looking an non AC3 channel and switch (without switching the TV off) to a AC3 channel, the channel will not be played with AC3 audio. If I switch the TV off/on the channel will played in AC3 anyway.

Would be great if you could have a look on it.

    thx Tino
