Ok people, if you want me to be able to fix this weird "nothing's showing" problem everyone is having except myself, I need more information.

My only directory is: D:\TV Shows (example: D:\TV Shows\Cowboy Bebop\Season 1\01 - Asteroid Blues.ogm)
Parsing: <series>\Season <season>\<episode> - <title>.<ext>
Skin: BlueTwo

I'm using the release posted here and using the skins folder from the same source, that's in the sourcecode folder.

Supposedly the shows are added right, because they show in the details tab inside the plugin configuration.

I had the old MyTvSeries plugin installed but am not sure if I removed it completely or if any remaining files are conflicting with this one.

edit: Unchecking the "show only episodes with a matching local file" thing gets them listed inside MP, but I can't watch the files. Also, if I go inside an episode view, right click, and reactivate the feature, the episodes disappear, and I can't get out of the folder. (edit#2 Okay, so it just didn't like OGM files, my avi files for the simpsons play just fine)

local raid5 disk

x:\<series>\<season>\<series>.s<season>e<episode>.<randomcrap>.avi/mkv/etc

newest svn build

question: is there a <> tag for the simple matching that would allow me to define forexample that <everythinghere is useless>

for example: friends.s01e01.dvdrip.xvid.avi
with <series>.s<season>e<episode>.<>.<ext> parses the whole dvdrip.xvid.avi as extension, dunno if it even matters but it caught my eye :)

Go into your MP Setup>Plugins>Go to the HOME plugin and right click config> Go to the Menu Structure tab.
There you can rename

I've tried everything and I can't get the summary to show up.

I was having the issue where nothing at all would show up until I read this thread and I unchecked "Show only episodes with......." and then it started working fine. Files show up, they play just fine, all other fields are working except the main InfoPane in both Series and Episode.

I can get the summary to display if I put \n<Series.Summary> at the end of one of the other fields... but then it's either in the wrong place or the text is huge.

Nothing I enter in Series MainInfoPane or Episode MainInfoPane will show up. I've tried writer, director, actors, etc... nothing. I've tried several different skins too (BlueTwo Wide is my default). I tried BlueTwo (and wide), MCE, MCE HD, SpinSafe, etc.

I'm also seeing a BLANK option when I right click on the Series screen. Option 2 just has a "2" with no text. And option 1 in the Episode window just has a "1" with no text.

I made sure and put the new MP-TVSeries.xml file in each of the above skin directories. I've tried putting the MP-TVSeries.dll file in plugins\windows, plugins\process, main dir, etc... Only works properly in plugins\windows.

EDIT: I also made sure the option to "Hide summary for episodes not viewed" was UNchecked.

Anyone else having these issue?

Hi all,
I've updated the plugin to 0.3c:
- Fixed this problem of local shows not showing
- showing an "empty list" line when the list is empty, to enable the contextual menu to work
- added the possibility to force a local / update scan from the contextual menu

Sorry about that "nothing's showing" issue, I'll try to do better testing next time.

That doesnt work. Its not saving my new name. Where do you save? Or how do you do to rename at all?

Thanks,
Martin

I'd like to know about that too. I tried to change the pluginName string the plugin is returning to MP, but in that case the plugin isn't even listed anymore, as it seems this returned plugin name is used as the plugin ID (so what's the plugin ID for then??? I really don't understand MP's logic sometimes)

And I can't make anything work with the home settings; when I try to drag my plugin it's duplicated 20 times, it doesn't seem to save an information about those entries...
I'm using 2.1.0.

Thanks a LOT for your fast updates zeflash, extremely appriciated =)!
