Hi,

just found a "bug" ( I don´t know if skin or plugin related) :

When searching for new shows from inside MP and a show is found which cannot directly be recognized, MP asks which show this is. So far so good. I get a number of series, which might be fitting, but I cannot see the original file....so I don´t know which file is asked for...kind of annoying to just guess the series... ;-)

Not so bad, but for future fixing.

Given the time, I won't re-release. But I fixed this so it will be in the next one (I knew about it but forgot).

0.8
- fix focus / default action in the choose from selection dialog
- upgraded the complex regular expressions to include the double episode handling - when a double is detected the local file is used for both online episodes. Watched flag is also acting on the 2 episodes.
- put some try/catches here and there to prevent weird stuff
- changed the way parsing are handled in MP - uses a queue
- removed the "auto localscan" and replaced it work a FileSystemWatcher mechanism
- by Inker: Play Random episode, accessible from the context menu. You can either play a random episode (in that case it's from the already watched episodes) or play a random unwatched episodes (and it will always be the first unwatched of a series).
- by Inker: updates to the project mayhem III tvseries skin file. Looks awesome!

Mate I gotta say, I just tried this plugin out last night and I am so impressed - one of the coolest features of MP I have yet used. Kudos to you zeflash, keep up the good work!

This plugin should be distributed in the standard install IMO. Or if not, a built in "Plugin Browser" from within MP would make it too easy to install from the web on a freshly installed MP installation.

I'll definitely be using this plugin a lot.

Only suggestion I would have, is when watching a tv show and then exiting fullscreen, the floating "preview" window of the playing video in the bottom left-hand corner obscures some of the synopsis text. I'm using BlueTwo-wide skin. Perhaps the text can be made to wrap around the floating preview window? I haven't had a stab at designing skins so I don't know how difficult this is...

Just an update... I'm not dead, just really busy with real life.

I have the forums set up on the website now, so please post database related issues there. Please continue posting issues related to the plugin on these forums. I need to do it this way since I'm having trouble keeping up with all of these different forums now that work has picked up.

Saw this today and thought I'd try it. I've just installed v0.8 and I'm impressed. You've got my vote for including this in the standard install. Worked a treat and was easy to use.

Just a [really really] small thing I noticed. Not sure if it was just me or if others may have seen it, but in configuration when importing the TV Series info (doing the scan and retrieve I guess) the progress bar only got half way across and stopped. It did parse everything though. There was one series (of about a dozen) that didn't parse in the test parse due to poor descriptions - I wasn't interested in getting it though. So perhaps that is the reason for the unfinished progress bar? Other than that it was perfect.

Anyway, got to say it again... very cool plugin. I'll definitely use it a lot.

I have updated to 0.7 a few days ago. I have to say this is absolutely brilliant me and my wife love this, it is the most used plugin.
The ability to torrent makes life really easy if you have missed an episode.
Thanks once again.
Now off to try 0.8 once I can get my wife to stop using this!

I have upgraded to v8 and still have the problem where it prompts for an episode inside MP, but doesn't tell me what the episode its looking for is. So I make a random guess. Each time MP starts, it does the same thing.

Also I have a main program description for Cafael in the database, I can see it when running in config mode but doesn't give me the main write up in MP when running.

Also, I noticed that the program "The triangle", while it showed originally in the database, when I did the upgrade I had to rescan and now the program doesn't get found.

Don't get me wrong I am not whining. I am so impressed its not funny. My buddies are now coming over to watch what i have collected and are now talking about building their own MP server.

So keep up the great work. But I thought I would pass on my experience.

They all parse fine and show in the GUI, but when i go to play one it says: "Can't start playback / File must still be being written to"
TV shows from the local computer work fine, and the TV shows on the network share work fine through the MyVideos plugin. Anyone have any ideas?

I just found the problem, should only happen if you dont have write acess to the network share.

Will be fixed.

I just found the problem, should only happen if you dont have write acess to the network share.

Cool, wondered what i'd botched up when I upgraded. Bizarely couldn't see anything in the logs.

Edit: I can confirm giving write access to the share stops this occuring.
