just before i give this a try.

what is the best naming format to use ?

i have a folder for tv shows.. and then a folder with the show name.. then a folder for each season.

example
\tv shows\seinfeld\season 7\filename.avi

what is the best format to use for the filename. at present i have

\tv shows\seinfeld\season 7\S07E11 - The Rye.avi

advice please

That should be fine as you can tell the program the file format you use. :)

snag is... i'm not very consistent with my filename policy :D

and some of the programs i have don't have episode names... so some are "QI - 4x01.avi"

if i was to move to a common filename policy, which should i use

Run the plugin config program then you test what files it can reconise and what ones it needs help with. The plugin comes with strings to help it reconise most common file formates and its really good. Found most of mine and then with some small changes it got the rest.

PPL here will help you change or create strings to do the missing files. :)

any ideas what is causing this ?

"file must still be being written to" - see attached

Yes its a bug in the current version you need to give it write acess to the remote directory.

Read the earlyer pages for more info.

i need to give the plugin write access ?

the windows user only has read-only access to the folder, so i guess i need to give it full access.

Is there any progress in finding the infinite bug which makes the loading icon always appear when pressing the stop button in non-fullscreen video mode?
If you need some debug logs for it please let me know i can post them online.

i notice you can't add episodes to a playlist (like you can in "my videos")

is this possible to add, as i like to add a few episodes to a playlist and let them play one after the other, saves me having to choose to play another episode once one has stopped.

As said, that is only a bug in the current version. Next update will take care of that.

Do you still have this issue using mp 2.2 and 0.8 of the plugin? If you do, yes pls provide both the mp log and the plugin log.

Problem is I cant reproduce it (and I think neither can Zeflash).

Playlists sound interesting, but I'm not sure its something that will be done soon. Even more options in the dialog menu is something I think we need to avoid, and then there is the technical side of it where we would need another screen for playlist management (if using the std. playlists player and its screens we will loose the osd info unless we do yet another hack).

I agree that playlists might be a bit complex. At the moment the only thing that i could still do with would be some way of showing which of my eps are backed up ad which are there as i have a small place holder avi (like 700kB) for the backed up eps so my wife can see what is backed up and put the DVD in if she wants to watch something thats on a backed up DVD. I suppose easiest way would to show file size or episode length.

Thanks again to Zeflash for this great tool and to Inker for all your hard work done. I hope you guys had an amazing christmas and have a prosperous new year.
