Hi,

I installed 0.6b on a SVN from a couple of days ago and no problems! Works perfectly.

To all of you who use the SVN version of MP, do you have issues with series showing up in my videos after you played them back from MPTVSeries?
I remember someone saying something about this, and given the (only?) way to show metadata when playing back the episode is pretty much a hack (adding the episode in the MP video database, then removing the info when playback is over) I believe it's one place things could no behave the same between versions.

yes that was me.
I test MP-TVSeries on my test pc with SVN Version --> MediaPortal-svn--12-05-2006--01-01-Rev12070
and MP-TVSeries 0.5c and onwards and i do not have this problem anymore.

The series do not show anymore on the video database after they are played.

i just test it with the todays latest svn and the problem is back as usuall. SVNs are really unstable. in some builds things get fixed and in some other versions things that were fixed are back again, like the problem mentioned above.

And that surprises you? Of course svns are unstable, thats the price you pay for living on the edge ;-)

Hi Guys, Is the best place to report a bug? I've already reported this and I don't know if it's a MP bug or a MPTVseries bug. He is how to reproduce:

    1.Load MP
    2.Select My Tv Series
3.Pick an episode from a series and start watching.
4.Press escape so you get back to the episode selection screen(Episode is still playing in bottom right corner)
5.press "stop" on remote or keyboard.
6.See the bug. A spinning green circle appears in the middle of the screen(Wait cursor) dosn't go away!

Can anyelse verify this? Or am i just loosing my mind. Sorry to go on about this, but it would be cool to get it fixed. Maybe it's nothing to do with MPTVSeries?? But thats where I can re-produce the fault.

    :)

    Hi Rhys -

What version of MP & skin are you using?

FYI - I am using 0.6b successfully with SVN & 0.2.1.0, and only see the animated indicator when MP-TVSeries is busy checking for new video content to index.

This is an option - on the Configuration/Plugins/MP-TVSeries "MediaPortal Display Control" tab, there is a General Setting:

"Automatically scan for new files periodically every (N) minutes".

Whenever MP-TVSeries is doing the scanning, you will see the 'busy' cursor wherever the current skin chooses to display such a thing.

MP-TVSeries *doesn't* use the wait cursor anymore to notify an ongoing action, it's just way to intrusive. Instead I use an animated bitmap in the skin, normally located on the bottom left corner of the app.

So, it's not my code that calls that wait cursor on.

Can someone try to repro this problem? Which version of MP are you using?
