I've also found some bugs:

- Some buttons have incorrect transparency in BlueTwo skin (corners appears in black)

- The label Rate, overlaps the value (at least in spanish language)

i'm already testing...

Yes, you can download it ans I just add an English document helping you to setup that plugin.
Sorry for skins modifications, I had no time to it and not a good designer. You can ask for others users ( on the French Forum some users worked on it, try...)
For testing, you can copy the Xml files ans png files (Media path) in yout skin directory; it should work :?

Sorry but I only develop for the ProjectX skin. A french user will work soon on it be patient ...

- The label Rate, overlaps the value (at least in spanish language)
You can change the position value in the skin file MesFilmsDetail.xml; change the posX value for the control Id=2030. Actually 603, try a less value (580 ?)
<control>
<type>label</type>
<id>2030</id>
<posX>603</posX>

Maybe you have to reduce the size of the OriginalTitle (second title's line) invoiding overlap with that label (value width of the control 2026)
<control>
<type>fadelabel</type>
<id>2026</id>
<posX>328</posX>
<posY>96</posY>
<label>#OTitle</label>
<width>250</width>

zebons, Thank You alot, myFilms is moving quickly to the movie manager I dream about. I add 2 more "must have" features here:
1/ Possibillity to make a more sofisticated selection of movies i.e list movies with more than 1 genre fullfilled, example HORROR + COMMEDY will show me horror movies my girlfriend can see :)
2/ Possibillity to launch a user defined program before the launch of the movie, with a command string defined by one item in AMC database. And possibillity to launch a user defined program when You leave myFilms (to look at TV for example).

The settings for 2/ in setup can be (will be for me...)
Launch before: powerstrip.bat
Command line item: Framerate
Launch when leave myFilms: powerstrip_reset50hz.bat

With these bat-files I can change refreshrate to my projector depending on the framrate for the movie. And reset before TV.

thank You again /gabbe

Playing Films

I have been trying to get this plug-in to work for a couple of days and must have got something wrong. I am unable to get it play any movies. :(

Scenario:
I have my Movies stored on hard disk in the following structure
D:\Movies\Star Wars I\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO
D:\Movies\Star Wars I\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.BUP.......etc

and

D:\Movies\Star Wars II\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO
D:\Movies\Star Wars II\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.BUP.......etc

within ANT I have stored the "Star Wars I" and "Star Wars II" as the Media Label.

Within the Media Portal Configuration I have set
Ant Item for Storage File Info as "MediaLabel"
Search Path for File Read as "D:\Movies"
Ant Identification Item as "MediaLabel"

I can view and browse the infomation within Media Portal but when I try and play I get a request to Please Insert disc Star Wars I.

Am I trying to do something this plugin was not intended for or have I got it set up wrong?

MC

hi surfermc,
You make a confusion between Ant Item for Storage File Info and Ant Identification Item.
The first parameter is used to search the file on your computer. So in your case, as you choose MediaLabel for this parameter, you have to put in your ANT MedialLabel item the value 'D:\Movies\Star Wars I\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO' for the first film and 'D:\Movies\Star Wars II\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO' for the second one. For DVD you have to put the entire filename with path (all DVD files names are video_ts.ifo...).

The second parameter Ant Identification Item is used if the plugin cann't find the file in the path given -see before - to display the adequate information for identifying the correct support. For example in my case, all my films are on removable support (CD or DVD) and I use the Ant Item Number to know the correct support that I had to mount. My videos are sorted by number so it's easy if I got the correct number to find it in my cases... So, for me, the correct 'ANT identification item' is the item 'Number' of my database. If all of your videos are on disk, you should leave that parameter as blank as you don't need it (the plugin should find your videos if the Item 'MediaLabel' is correctly filled).
try it

hi zebons,

Thanks for the prompt response. I see my mistake. I have corrected the entries in my Ant Movie database.

However I am still having a couple of problems and still can't get the films to launch correctly. When I select Play the I am requested if I wish to continue from where I left the movie if I have watched it previously, just like in My Movies. It then goes to play the movie but I get no display. Bringing up the OSD shows the film to be 0:00 in length. The movies play correctly from My Videos.

I have also noted that if there is a DVD in the drive or and ISO mounted using Daemon tools then it will play this in preference to any movie the I have selected / tried to select.

Thanks MC

Hi!

I use mediaportal mainly to watch Divx movies. A lot of them is splitted into 2 discs.
Is it possible that mediaportal plays the first disc and then the second one?
If so what parameters should I put in?
