It seems stabilizing MP1 takes really lot of time. Combining that to little amount of developers, it might be wise to release MP2 with only the needed plugins (TV, Videos, Music, Pictures, Radio, Weather) and stop supporting MP1, as soon as it's possible.
This actually is the plan. :)

Will there be a 1.15 or 1.2 then? I'm just asking because there are some nice patches that didn't make it into 1.1 due to the very long feature freeze phase and it would be a shame to let them go to waste with MPII at least a year out imo.

@Dadeo: Keep 'em coming, it's very nice to hear what's going on behind the curtains.

    :D

As i said - a decision about that is pending. But its likely that there will be one more release of MP1.
But if this will be a "feature release" or a "stable release" - we do not know yet.

First we have to get out 1.1.0 stable - then we think about the next steps. ;)

Also with a small number of devs, good work can be done. Sometimes, more developers only make it more difficult. What I would more consider an important point is that the devs know what they do and that the fluctuation is very small.
And we have a great team!

You are so right. Just pissed off at work to unneeded developers who cause more harm than benefit (+ testers who try to ruin progress of everything). One good guy can do more than 10 regular ones. But a negative point is that no-one can quit from a small team without having a big effect.
