I am attempting to leverage my TV's hardware deinterlacer for 1080i content. I have an nVidia integrated video card. My 1080i content is deinterlaced to 30fps in media portal, which is OK, but for sports, it is not enough. Watching the direct signal from my STB to the TV in 1080i looks much better b/c I believe the deinterlacer is better.
Has anyone tried to do this? Ideally, I would only want to do it for 1080i content (720p looks perfect!).
