overlap issue on every skin i have tried (1 Viewer)

i have this weird overlap in every skin i have tried. i am on a 1080 hdtv, and i have tried several wide screen skins.

here is what i am talking about

i don't mind hacking into the skins if that is the only way to fix this, but it seems like there should be on that doesn't have this issue already (reinventing the wheel, and all that)
