I can't enter the code for parental controls properly after update from RC1 to RC3.

Strange; under settings, when typing in the parental code, numbers are NOT accepted. I suspect this has to do with the fact that I use a French keyboard, I have to press shift to type a number.

When entering the parental code running MP it does not show this behaviour, I can indeed only enter numbers, but they never match the code! (invalid pin).

This behaviour was introduced going from RC1 to RC3 on two clients!

While typing this message, I though of, and successfully tested, a work around. When entering the parental code under settings I change the keyboard to US, just to type the four numbers without the need of the shift key.

    Still, something to look into.

Sounds like you two have different issues. I'll try to reproduce the issues tonight.

VdR, I was able to reproduce this issue. The non shifted symbols are getting stored to the database. I'm working on a fix, but as a temporary work-around you can use the numpad on the right side of the keyboard to create your PIN in the moving pictures config.

Once you've done this, you can go into the GUI and unlock the parental filter using either the top row numbers (while holding shift), or the numpad numbers (without shift).

Edit: as you stated, using a US keyboard is also a work-around to this issue.

My Z552 wireless keyboard does not have a numpad ;), hence my US keyboard setting trick. Actually entering the PIN in config from the remote rather than the keyboard works as well.

    Thanks for the fix!
