I am planning to migrate from Windows XP-SP3 to Windows 7, doing a complete fresh install of MePo. My current system has been running fine (mostly) with PowerDVD8 codecs, both for SDTV and HDTV and Videos. So...

Is there any good reason to upgrade to PDVD9 or PDVD10? Picture Quality? Stability? Anything else...?
Or should I save the money and stay with PDVD8?

Use SAF v5 unlocked, this contains PowerDVD 10.
PM hoborg for the unlocked version.

Yes I was thinking of this.
But I need PDVD for blueray disk playback so I plan to install the full suite anyway. That's why I am wondering if an upgrade is worth the money.

I do it within PDVD, not within MePo.
But I may try the new BD wrapper after the switch to Win7...

I have a full installation of pdvd10 as well as using MePo and SAF 4.x. Works great actually! BD's I play in pdvd and the rest in MePo.

Hello,

I use PWDVD10 with SAF 4.x, too. It does fine!

With PWDVD8 some (new) BD didn't work, so I had to upgrade.

Preffer also to play BD with PWDVD, because I want to have the full BD functions.
