Peer Gaurdian Blocking Remote Database (1 Viewer)

So among other things I run Peer Guardian on my system. Beginning with an update sometime within the last couple of days, Peer Guardian has begun to block the IP for the remote database that this plugin pulls it's TV Series/Episode information from. It's an easy fix, in Peer Guardian, just make a permanent exception for the IP that is being blocked when you are forcing an update in the TV-Series Config Panel. Took me a while to figure out why I was suddenly having problems so I thought I would share.

Also (your mileage may vary) I had to completely rebuild my TV-Series database (manually deleted the old one). After Peer Guardian started to block the remote DB, once I got everything reconnected the plugin was giving me some invalid query errors... Rebuilding my database fixed the problem.

Do you know why it's blocking it and from which list(anti-p2p/edu etc..)?
Best to contact them also about this and they might make and exclusion, normally this doesn't happen very fast but might help.

It's from the anti-P2P list, the entry that's causing the block is here. It is labeled as a Time Warner IP, which is obviously not the case. There is no information as to why it was originally blocked, but I think someone just got over zealous with an IP range. I've posted a comment on the specific IP range (and in doing so registered a vote to remove the ban). If a few more people comment, hopefully the Ip will get removed from the block list.

Reverse DNS: 216-136-115-100.static.twtelecom.net. > Time Warner Telecom

Little bit odd so reason for blocking could be valid for p2p clients but not for htpc applications.

Did you bring it up with the admins of the database?

Well in some areas Time Warner is an ISP. It could be that the particular webhost that is being used for thetvdb.com uses Time Warner as a service provider.
