Hallo,

First of all: thanks to the Mediaportal team for starting such a great project, and community.

Today, I went out and bought a Pinnacle 310i and was hoping to get the software running, I've been meaning to setup such a system for months.

However: I simply can't get it running with the tuner.

The mediaportal version I am using is the recently released "release candidate".

The configuration utility recognises my card as "Pinnacle PCTV 310i DVBT" and I was hoping to use it with analogue cable. I've got all channels set up.

When I click "my TV" in the mediaportal application, I get the error message "Failed to start TV, Cannot add filter Pinnacle PCTV 310! BDA DV"

The card works just fine with Intervideo WinDVR 3.

I've tried just about everything I can understand in the forum. However, I can't figure out what to do when you start talking about Graphedit.

However, as I'm not a total moron, I should be able to do the nevessary steps, with a tiny bit of help.

Would anybody be so kind as to help me out?

Not that I am a MP expert, but the "Pinnacle PCTV 310i DVBT" indicates that this is a card for DVB-terrestrial, which is not analogue cable. Does the configuration allow adding another capture card? Click Add and see if it detects a second card. Although it is one physical card, MP treats it as two cards, which is logically correct.
Did you check if the Pinnacle PCTV 310i is on the list of supported cards?

Hallo,

Thanks for your reply.

Actually, the "Pinnacle PCTV 310i DVBT" is the only card that is detected. Maybe the analogue part isn't recognised at this time? It should be possible, as I've read about people who have succeeded in doing so.

The 310i is in the list of supported cards, indeed.

It is well possible that the analogue part isn't supported. Was the same with my HVR-1800, but with a lot of patience and effort dman put that into the latest SVN build.
You can collect the information as outlined here and I am sure that the MP folks will hook you up
