    Hi and excuse for my english:

    I´ve purchase a Pinnacle PCTV 400i DVB-S tuner card, because i see in the list of supported the Pinnacle PCTV 400e.

    The trouble is that Media Portal dont recognise the 400i in the last capturecarddefinitions. I think is the same card 400i and 400e.

    Can you help me?

    Thanks

    Hi,

    If it's indeed almost the same type of hardware you can try adding the capturecard yourself to the capturecarddefinitions.xml. Copy the entry for the 400e, substitute "400e" for "400i" and change the "devid" to match the device ID from your TV card. FYI: you can get the devid from your card from the device manager --> Properties --> Details. Be sure to change "&" sign to "&" in the devid string.

    If that doesn't help, then this thread is your last hope.

    Kind regards,
    Michel

    Hi mjall;

    Does you make the 400i run in MP?

    Could you help me with that?

    I´d try to edit the capturedefinition but it doesnt run.

    Thank you

    OK got the INF files.

    Unfortunately the drivers are not BDA drivers and hence support cannot be easily added.
    The only way it can be achieved is with the SDK for that card and a card to write and test against and of course a developer willing to do this.

    Sorry guys looks like you're a little stuck there.
