Pinnacle remote stop working (1 Viewer)

CPU Type: Intel Celeron 800 Mhz
HDD: Maxtor 20Gb
Memory: 512 Mb

Hi,

I'm using Media Portal for some time, with a remote from a pinnacle pctv/pro. The TV card is not installed.
The problem is, every time I'm seeing a movie (AVI or DVD) afther some time the remote stop responding.

(I'm using the pinnacle remote software that come with the tvcard)
Afther quiting the media portal the pinnacle remote software is still runnig and making the test from the software we receives the buttons input.

Can some one help me with this?

I also use my old tv card's remote from my Pinnacle PCTV stereo. I had the same problem but when i switched from the normal installed receiver to Boogersoft receiver the problem was gone. I still think it is strange but it worked for me...
If you need help with boogersoft receiver or the config file i can help you with that just give me a private message.

Thanks for the reply, I was using that program but a old version(v2.7) that give me the same problem.
I manage to catch a newer version (v2.8 I think that this is the latest version) searching for the name that you gave me (boogersoft).
I'm going to try it today when I arrive home.

Hi again,

Afther trying yesterday, the same problem persists. You version of the software is the v2.8?
Because I use it for minutes and sudently stops responding. This only happens when I'm watching videos. If I'm on another part of Media Portal every thing is ok.

Sorry by the late reply, but I was on vacations.

I found out what was the problem. If you use several remotes like I do on my living room eventualy the software for the pinnacle remote stop respondig.

The problem is the following, if you start the software for the remote with the switch for real time log, you can see in real time the commands from the remote. the problem is that you can see the commands for other remotes to like my sterio and TV remote. Afther several commands from other remotes the program stop receiving info from any remotes including the pinnacle.

If I don't use any of the remotes in the time I'm using the Media Portal every thing works fine.

Hello Trojkolka,

I'm using the pinnacle remote type A with my pctv 110i. Cant get the remote to work with MP except starting up MP.
Does boogersoft work with this remote for MP ?
If so can u give me an example of the remote config and how to setup MP with the pinnacle remote?
