I have some issues with the quality of live TV, especially with fast movement (sports, flashing lights etc.) its gets very pixilated and very chunky looking. (this only happens when watching TV with MP regular TV looks fine) I have a Hauppauge 500 MCE I'm running MP 2.0.3. My HTPC is connected to my HDTV via a DVI>HDMI connection, and I have analog cable. I have tried installing the latest drivers for the 500 MCE(2043_24103), I have tried adjusting the sharpness and motion blur with the Hauppauge tweak tool. Which only made it worse. I'm currently using the Nvidia codec for both TV and DVDs, though I have tried all codecs with TV and I still get pixilation with fast movement. I have tried all the interlace modes, still didn't help. I have searched the forum and there doesn’t seem to be solutions. Does anyone know how to fix this....?

its kind of a tough one to diagnose, dont' suppose you can share what type of tv you have? also you say its from DVI to HDMI but then later say its a analog cable, can you clarify that a bit?

It may be the different might have fast enough response time so all fast movement objects are blurred, but then again it probably works fine for a device like a dvd player directly into the TV is that correct?

Ok to clarifiy.... I have a 27" Panasonic HDTV. The connection from the TV is HDMI and the connection on my HTPC is DVI, hence I use a HDMI> DVI cable. The Hauppauge 500MCE is a analog TV tunner and I have a analog cable connection (from the cable company) I don't think its an issue with the signal from the cable company being weak, beacause connecting the TV cable directly to the TV and watching TV with out the use of MP, the issue goes away. The issue only occurs when watching TV using MP. Playing DVDs the image quality is great.
