Play random surround trailer before starting movie (3 Viewers)

just do a search for something like dolby dts trailers in google and you'll find tons within the first page

i'd love to see a trailers plugin where you could setup mp to play videos before a movie. how sweet would it be if when you hit play on a movie, mp played a custom 'home theatre intro', a selection of random trailers, a surround sound intro, then started the movie. it'd add so much to the whole experience

Here in the USA the commercial intros are very long. I sure don't want those or the FBI/Interpol warning or the DVD menu, but all of this is off this thread.

Personally, I hate those "trailers". If I want to watch a movie, then that's what I want. I don't think the others aer off topic, simply pointing out that some of us view this request with a little "surprise".

Certainly, if someone is thinking of implementing this, then it has to be configurable because this would annoy the hell out of me.

As far as feature reqests go, I also think this should go towards the bottom of the deck, unless someone wants to step up and do it themselves. I'm sure Frodo and the gang have enough on their lists already, at least for the time being.

Sorry for being really negative, but this is one thing I really can't understand, but I do see that at least a few others really want this.
