Playback graph is connecting to two audio renderers? (1 Viewer)

I'm a long time SageTV user and have chosen to move to MP because I like the control it allows over the playback graph.
However, I'm having a couple of, probably related, issues that don't occur with my default Windows 7 settings or with SageTV.

Here is my default Windows 7 playback graph.

I've worked hard to understand directshow over the years. My biggest success has been to get bitsreaming working for all HD playback types, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master, and lossless LPCM in WMP12. You can read about it on my blog.

My current problem with MP is...
1) Even though my default graph is working perfectly MP doesn't play anything when "Automatic Decoder Settings" is checked.
2) When the desired settings are configured on the Video Codecs tab everything plays as expected but two sets of the audio renderer show up in the playback graph.

Maybe I shouldn't say this but playback is actually perfect with this setup. But, I'm a perfectionist and want everything to be clean. Also, I think the time from the press of the Play button to the video actually playing can be reduced by optimizing graph creation.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you tried setting the Audio Render in MP to “Default DirectSound Device”?
I think ReClock will be used anyway, and maybe your setting triggers it to start twice.

    Hi,
i have start to rework the building graph in MP :) it solve this issue but it will not be committed for 1.2.0.
You can try something, in FFDShow options, select the option (the third of memory) of how many ffdshow audio in graph you want. (Only one -check all filters in graph).
    Let's try it :)

Yes. Tried that before posting. It causes Default DirectSound and ReClock to be in the graph. Turning the "force ReClock to load instead of Default Renderer" off in ReClock settings doesn't change the situation either. This is really strange.

Also, when checking "Automatic Decoder Settings" on the Video tab it still lets you choose the Audio Renderer which seems strange. Why wouldn't it lock that setting and use the default graphs audio renderer?

[EDIT] Posted this in response to matpe without seeing Sebastiii's response.

Oh yes maybe i'm too quick in reading it.
I thinking but i surely wrong, that effectively, in automatic mode (didn't look the code closer now) first is added by auto and second by setting.
can you try to uncheck in reclock both options set reclock and force reclock and set reclock in mp config ?
    Thanks.

Thanks Sebastiii. The FFDShow setting is already set to "Only one -check all filters in graph" and I had tried disabling ReClock and setting it in MP without success. At this point, based on your feedback, I'm leaning toward this being a bug in MP. Thanks again for the help.

I think our hardware should behave the same (ATI 5xxx), even though your 4311 beats my 1911 ;)
Never seen that happen with reclock, so i don’t think it’s a bug in MP.
I’m using saf 6 and lavaudio, was using ffdshow audio for bitstreaming but i think lavaudio is better!
Can you run MP and use “Connect to Remote Graph” in GraphStudio to se the pin connections?

    Here is my MP graph.

    Yeah 4311! :) I love the MultEQ XT32.

It's strange. I can't get GraphStudio to display the MP playback graph. It lets me choose a remote connection but doesn't render anything. Anyway...

In addition to a goal of perfect playback I am also hunting for the settings that provide the quickest playback. When using LAV Audio Decoder my blurays were taking about 15-20 seconds to play after hitting the play button. Replacing LAV with FFDShow caused the wait to go down to 1-3 seconds. Are you seeing that with your settings? Specifically, VC1 with Dolby TrueHD seem to take the longest to play.

You need to register proppage.dll, which you can get from -->here<--.

Well, it takes long time to load a bluray, never thought it was related to LAV Audio, maybe i have to try FFDShow again.
But i want to watch my HDDVD’s with DD+, and it doesn’t work with ffdshow.
