Hi

I've got a problem where everytime I try to play a HDTV recording, MP crashed after under 1 minute.
I can skip and FF the recording OK, but when trying to play it will crash again.
The odd thing is that it is a Windows message telling me that MP has crashed, the picture freezes but the audio continues as though there is nothing wrong.

I can watch all live channels (HD and SD) and SD recordings with no issues.

Logs are attached.

Thanks

    Hi chappers77

The crash is occurring in the DivX h.264 video decoder. From your system event log:

"09/10/2011 21:20:22";"Application Error";"Application Crashing Events";"Error";"The description for Event ID '1000' in Source 'Application Error' cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display the message, or you may not have permission to access them. The following information is part of the event:'MediaPortal.exe', '1.2.1.0', '4e7d7278', 'DivXDecH264.ax', '9.0.1.21', '4bb65af8', 'c0000005', '0001f86f'";"1000"

While we recommend the use of their AAC audio decoder for UK Freeview, there is no reason that I know of to rely on their h.264 video decoder. You could try the Microsoft DTV-DVD one - it is usually quite reliable.
