Hello all,
Two months ago I had to replace my htpc hardware, because my motherbaord was broken. After I intalled the new hardware i installed windows, drivers, codecs, mediaportal, etc. And now about one month later i experiance some playback shutter and freezes/crashes. I can't see exactly when it started, after the main installation I have updated AMD catalyst, and tested playing bluerays with powerdvd(did not work ).
The shutter happens when MP doesn't freezes/crashes when I start a very large (18GB) bluray rip. When Mp freezes/crashes I get a Windows popup telling me MP has stopped working/experianced a problem.
I expect that this is a driver/codec related problem, my hardware should me more that capable to run this vids.
To fix this problem I have:
- Uninstalled PowerDVD
- Uninstalled the AMD Catalyst driver 11.6 and installed versie 11.4 (standard settings)
- Uninstalled MP (complete) and reinstalled it.
Sadly the problem still is remains.
Because this is my first real problem I like to get some advise on how to fix this. I think you guys need my logs, I'm willing to provide them, but when i start the MP bugtracking exe I'm getting 3 options
So which option do you need? Had do i need to clear the logs old logs?
Can someone tell me how to configure AMD Catalyst setting, like deinterlacing?
Should I instal the SAF codec pack and confirgure them again in MP?
Tnx for the help and the time,
Greetings E
