Playback stops first power off after updating NVIDA drivers (1 Viewer)

Don't know if this is by design or a bug and if it is a bug, it's not that big of a deal (to me), but everytime I update my NVIDIA card drivers, music playback stops when I turn my TV off. As this has happened consistently since I started using MediaPortal pretty much, I'd thought I'd post the question at least as I'm curious.

1. Update NVIDIA drivers (might involve a reboot)
2. Start MediaPortal
3. Playback music (I always use a playlist if that's relevant)
4. Shut off the TV (I never use StandBy using the remote)

Now playback stops.

Under control panel\sounds\playback what is your preferred playback device set as default, if its hdmi to tv, and you need spdif, change it.

Installing new drivers changes windows default

I use DVI+Spdif, so that might be it. But if I just turn my TV back on, hit play again, the issue is gone when I turn off the TV once more. If I remember this the next time I upgrade drivers, I'll try playing music in WMP and see if the same thing happens. But at least this is not by design then?
