Playing .mkv with an external .ac3 audio stream? (1 Viewer)

CPU Type: e7300 2.54ghz

Well, I've been searching the forums for some time now without finding any answer to my question, hoping someone can help me.

Is there any way to play external audiotracks with an mkv?

Lets say I got this "MOVIE A.mkv" and "MOVIE A swedish audio.ac3" in the same directory. I cant find any settings for this not even if I rename the audiostream to "MOVIE A.ac3" it wont get recognised by mediaportal.

In MPC I just rightclick and choose audiostream. Would be nice if this worked in MP.

Any Idea's how to solve this?

Use MKVtoolnix to merge the ac3 soundtrack file with the mkv file.

mkvtoolnix -- Matroska tools for Linux/Unix and Windows
