Hi
I tried looking for this in the forum but couldn't find an answer

most of my video are spilt up into 2 or more files.
When playing a video it does not continue to the next part of the movie but instead just stops and I then need to select the next file to play the rest of the movie.

Is there a stack option? I cna't find one.
I have used GB-PVR before this and on the video menu there is a "Play All" button and this works fine.
Is there something similar in media portal, or should there be?

I am using version the new RC4
PS. It's a bit slow to startup and sometimes it's just slow to use, otherwise it seems to work great. :D

Best regards
Eddie

Try to name your videos like this:

Video Title CD1.mpg
Video Title CD2.mpg
Video Title CD3.mpg

After this naming the movies is only shown as one video. If you start it you will see 3 cds and can select with which one you want to start. Also the video should play the complete movie.

Renaming videos

The movies are divx or xvid and have the extension .avi
They are name like this:
filename.cd1.avi
filename.cd2.avi
and so on
They do not show as one file/movie and need to be selected induvidualy

Thanks

any other variation that works?

what is the logic behind deciding if a file is after another?

I name them like this...

filename_cd1.avi
filename_cd2.avi

but this should work also...

filename cd1.avi
filename cd2.avi

bug what is the logic behind it?

should it have "cd" in? or would blahblah-1, blahblah-2 give the same result?

or xxxx-p1, xxxx-p2?

etc.

    Hi,

    name-CD1.avi
    name-CD2.avi

So "-" and "CD" is needed! :)

    pity :)

because I have some mpegs that are split but not in CD sizes, so I shouldn't name them like that if I am to be precice (but anyway I will do)

something to change for a future SVN maybe?
