playing protected content divx (1 Viewer)

bought a copy of star trek on usb flash drive, film wouldn't play thru media portal so have gone thru the setup including installing divx player but still no joy.
Imagine content is protected with some sort of drm, is there any way i can play this thru MP as need to make this film accessible to the mrs with the remote?
not being lazy just want to know if it can be done (search produced no results on a few relevent key words such as title) if it can i can prob find it just don't want to waste too much time looking if not poss

Hm ... I actually never heard of DivX w/DRM.

Perhaps you could UL your logs. Pref. close MP and use Debug-Mode (shortcut in Start ->)
