Please help me configure TV (1 Viewer)

Windows Version: Vista Home Premium (all windows updates complete)
CPU Type: Pentium D920 (dual 2.8ghz)
HDD: PATA 120gb Western Digital & SATA 1tb Hitachi
Memory: 2gb DDR2
Motherboard: Asus P5wd2-P
Video Card: X1900XT
Video Card Driver: Latest, downloaded yesterday
Sound Card: Internal/onboard
1. TV Card: Happauge 1800
Satelite/CableTV Provider: US Cable
HTPC Case: Thermaltake DH101
Cooling: Stock
Power Supply: Antec 650w
Remote: iMon remote supplied with Thermaltake case
TV: 2000 Panasonic RPTV (HD 720p & 1080i) with no HDMI
TV - HTPC Connection: Compnent (y, pb, pr)


I have done everything step by step. I am trying to configure the TV-Server now, and having issues. Under TV Servers, HTPC1 (name of machine) there are two card options listed:

ATSC Happauge WinTV 885 BDA Tuner
Analog Happauge WinTV 885 Tuner

I cannot get any channels with either of these cards... Did I connect everything correctly?


Cable TV source --> CoAx ---> Cable TV Set Top Box

Cable TV Set Top Box -->Svideo & RCA Audio--> SVid /RCA input on Happauge

Radeon X1900XT -->Component (RGB)/RCA Audio--> TV Component in

desperate for help!!! pppppplease? any suggestions at all will be insanely appreciated!!!!

even with the WinTV app that comes with happauge I cant get any channels.....



I had to have hooked something up incorrectly!

Hi there

Can we test something:
Try to manually ADD a tv channel and select the source as CVBS#1. Map the channel to card and try to preview. Try same with all CVBS and SVBS sources and report back.
