Please help me get directv working (1 Viewer)

Thank you for this detailed information. I also have DirecTV (an HTL-HD box) and I will be buying my hardware this week.

By the sound of it, when I try and scan my channels, I will have to manually enter each on of them? I will have more experience soon since I have not even seen MP at all (only through the website, etc.)

I'm hoping some things might be ironed out with the newer releases?

I have been following this to the letter and for the life of me I can not get a tvguide.xml file to populate. What the crap am I doing wrong??? I had to manually run the config and then restatrt and run the grabber and it worked, but like I said...there still is no tvguide.xml file therefore I can not populate the channels.

I did verify that I can crontrol my DTV reveiver with PC Com port using DTVcontrol.


EDIT.....

Nevermind..I am simply too impatiant and did not let it fully run
