Hi Guys,
New to the place, so hello first
Also I have read several posts on here and tried several of the fixes before posting this
I installed MP 1.2.3.0 yesterday to a PC I'm setting up to sell on, using up some of the spares I never use.
It has a Asus Tiger TV 7131 Hybrid card in it, when I first installed MP itall worked just fine, but I noticed that part of the TV card didn't have a driver loaded, so I downloaded the latest from the asus web site, and checked everything was OK in TV Service setup, and all was fine.
But when I go into MP, it gives the above message, various of the fixes allowed me to get into the TV menu, but when switching the TV on, I get Connection to the TV service is lost.
Here's what I've tried so far.
Checked the TV service is running
Ran a test on the TV channels in setup
Changed the host to 127.0.0.1
Changed the host to the IP address of the PC
Copied TVsetup config file over MP config file
Added both IP addresses and the user/host name to windows hosts file
Switched off Windows Firewall
Changed the timeout from 30 to 300
Done a complete de-install of all MP products, the reinstalled and re-configured the TV service
Oh and it's a single seat install, so MySQL is on the same PC as MP, and it's a one click install so it's as it came out of the box. Win XP Sp3, 2.4Ghz Pentium D, 1GB Ram, 200GB HDD, 128MB Nvidia Geforce2
When I run TV service setup tho, I get a warning.
Your Version 6.5.2600.5512 of psisdecd.dll has too many bugs please check our Wkiki's requirements page
I ran the hotfix from the wiki page, now I get psisdecd.dll may not be registered properly
So ran regsvr32 to register it, and got the bug message back.
HEEELLLPPP I'm going bonkers here
