I think that i have found the problem now. But everyone please check behind me. I have lots of info below.
It looks like in the standalone version of MP the graph for the Plextor is being built with the intervideo mpeg multiplexer filter. For some reason , in TVServer the graph is trying to build with the Hauppauge hardware mpeg encoder multiplexer filter, and it fails. Could someone please verify this and if its true, could someone please fix this. PLEASE!! Maybe even point me in the direction of fixing it myself. I've searched through the source and found a function called "addtvmultiplexer", and i think that is where the problem lies, but, like i said earlier, this one i think is a bit above my pay grade. Hope someone smarter can figure this one out.

I recently upgraded from the stable standalone version of Mediaportal to the newest nightly build versions of MP, Tvserver3, and MP TV Plugin. Now my Plextor TV402U quit working. When i try to watch TV, i just get this error:

Unable to start timeshifting. No video/audio detected.

I uninstalled the TVServer Client plugin, and it works ok just using the newest standalone version of MP. But i sure would like to use TVServer3 client plugin over the standalone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just installed the 17500 version of MP, TVServer,and the MP TV Plugin. I have the same issue . MP standalone works fine. Plextor does not work with TVserver and plugin. Same error.

Ok, heres what i did:

I ran the tvserver setup utility. I disabled all cards except the Plextor. In the manual section i selected the Plextor TV402U card and pressed the Start Timeshift button. I recieved the same error. Here are the log files. I hope this helps.

I keep replying to my own messages. oh well. Just a tid bit of info that i found interesting. May help you programmers out there help me. When i load the filters for the Plextor into graphedit and click render on the audio out and video out terminals everything connects ok. However i dont get any audio with the video until i select an option called "connect clock" on the "default directsound device" filter. Dont know what it means. Maybe someone smarter will.

Here is also a post of a graphedit graph i created. With this configuration, the Plextor renders video and audio fine in graphedit. I had to use "default Direct Waveout device" filter instead of "default Directsound device" filter in order to get the audio to work right.

This is my tv.log. I just renamed it. Anyways, it looks like TVServer is trying to use the wrong mpeg multiplexer. Looks like its tring to use the Hauppauge multiplexer for my Plextor graph. Hmmm.....
