Message: <blockquote data-quote="fasuxe" data-source="post: 240268" data-attributes="member: 65573"><p>OK.  So heres a few new tidbits ive found out.  It seems like you have to be using the WinDVR5 that came with the plextor, otherwise you cannot save the default setup for the capture filter and its capture pin to MPEG2.  I have found, however, that there two registry keys that allow you to set the compression mode i.e. MPEG2, and divx compatibility i.e. 0=off 1=on.  The values are actually in a setup text file in the folder that the driver setup files get extracted to .  I've yet to test this so far b/c, now that ive gotten the darn thing working... you guessed it ... my wife is watching TV.  So, as soon as i get a chance, ill try again to play with the settings to break it and fix it and see if i can come up with a good method to keep the card working for good.  Till then.</p></blockquote><p></p>
