Thanks. I uninstalled the WOL PowerManager plug in, and the next day I had another crash, so I now know that WOL is not the problem.

I am going to try playing back some files in another video player, outside of MediaPortal to see if the crash still occurs. This should help me hopefully to work out if it is my machine that is the problem, or MediaPortal.

    Hi jojo1411,
may you pleeeeeeeeease make a version to run with MePo 1.3.0.0. ALPHA?

After searching the forum for days, there is no plugin to simply wake up a storage server by selecting a special mediaportal-plugin.

In my case, i put my video-archive on an extra pc. This pc sleeps the hole day and i want him to wake up if i select the video-plugin or moving-pictures plugin of the mediaportal.

Pleeeeeeeease make a version for 1.3 Alpha

I've been having some troubles getting this plug-in to work and can't think of what I may be overlooking. I'm using V0300. Here's what I see:

    1) If I check off the "Wake server as needed" checkbox in MP Configuration with tha WIRED connection to my LAN, my TV Server wakes up when I start MP. However, if I'm connected to my LAN through wireless, then it doesn't work.
    2) Regardless of whether I have a wired or wireless connection to my LAN, WOL PowerManager doesn't appear to send the WOL magic packet. I can verify this using a WOL monitoring utility. I have almost every "mytv..." option added to my list of wakeup pages and have even checked-off the "Wake-up server on startup" option. It's the same with MP when I have a wireless connection to my LAN, it simply won't send the packet (as if it feels that the wake-up is not necessary).
    3) I added my server IP to my hosts file, but not improvement.
    4) If I use a 3rd-party WOL utility, I can wake up my server at any time, whether I'm connected by wireless or wired. However, I need to use a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 (my LAN IPs are in the 10.x.x.x range) and I can use port 7 or 9.
    5) On my server I'm using PowerScheduler++ and I use its client version on my client machine. I don't know if that may be interfering with WOL?

I'm guessing that perhaps WOL for both MP and PowerManager are using the wrong subnet mask for my setup (I'm not a networking guru)? Unfortunately I don't see any way to adjust that.

Can anyone suggest something I may have overlooked?

What is the progress in making a version for 1.3 Alpha.
Need this to get my media network to run smoothly and to keep power consumption down :)
