[PLUGIN] Moving Pictures Plugin not remembering View (1 Viewer)

Using MP1.3 and Moving Pictures 1.5.1.1487 on Windows 7 Pro SP1 x86

I have searched for this issue before, and seen similar posts, but nothing that matched my problem.

Basically, always had this issue, even with a previous Moving Pictures version, and after updating to the current version thought I'd ask advice here.

I would like my default view to be "Coverflow". In the plugin settings I have the "By default show movies in: Coverflow view" set, but regardless it will always show them in list view.

Someone reported a problem where the last view was not remembered, and that is also the same for me even with the settings set, it always defaults to the List View. I have disabled all other plugins to rule that out also - but this has made no difference.

Would love to be able to get this set permanently. Any help appreciated.

Had the same problem for ages now, across several different releases of moving pictures, mediaportal and skins.

set layout to cover flow in config. working fine here. remember last view mode is not for layout.
couple be skin issue, working fine in Titan, try Titan.

Definately not a skin issue, does it in all skins including titan, even if I select a view other than list, start to play a movie then stop it, the view immediatly returns to list view.

MovPic has 2 places to configure views.

You are more then likely only looking at the main view configuration. This can be overruled on a per-category basis if you edit them.

So be sure that *ALL* your categories are set to "Parent View", so that they actually rely on the main setting.

So to confirm, coverflow view works fine, but after movie play is over *then* it goes to list?

yes, after manually stopping the movie or it comes to a stop at the end by itself.

I will have another delve into Movingpictures setting tomorrow as I've not tried to fix this problem in a while, had it for ages now and kind of just gave up and use list view but it is not my preferred view. recently installed latest movingpics and mp 1.4 so will look at settings again and report back.

Also experienced this issue.
I am on MP1.4Pre with latest Moving Pictures.
In Moving Pictures Config (Configuration EXE) i have set Coverflow.
After starting MP and go into the plugin there is the list view and not coverflow.
If ill change it with the GUI it works until ill play a movie or return to main menu and start the plugin again.

Would be great if anyone has a solution.

Ok so had a look at moving pic settings, it seems that for me it is only last used view' that doesnt work, if i select any of the views (cover flow, filmstrip etc.) then it will always go back to that view, which is fine, however when selecting last used view, it doesnt actually remember what your last used view was after stopping a movie and will revert to list view everytime.

Here is what i am doing

opening Moving pics external config, selecting 'last used view' on the gui tab (with organise movies by category unchecked)
open mediaportal and select my desired moving pics view from the 'change view' in menu.
it remembers the view for general navigating, going to home screen and then back to moving pics is all ok until a movie is played and then stopped then the view returns to list.

Alternatively if I check the box 'organise movies by category' and then click define movie categories, then select 'all movies' and 'show movies in - last used view' it does remember, however I do not wish to have my movies organised by category.
