    What MySql version do you use? There are limits for creating unique indexes for the supported column length, especially when using InnoDB engine with Utf-8.

    I wonder why it worked before, as there were no db model changes. We already reduce some field sizes.

    Hi.
    I'm using MySQL (Community) 5.6.10.1 working great with MP1.4 TV Server running on the same machine.

    Since SQLite plugin exists I'm using it as it gives most performance with minimum effort. But this isn't working together with TVE3.5 so I need something different to test TVE 3.5 further on. I had MySQL running earlier and I think (also I'm not totally sure) this was with MySQL 5.1 (the version that comes with MP1). It was before I got my new MP2 and MP1-TV Server up and running. Back there it works for me also. But that was with Winter Release, not with Alpha 2. This was my first attempt with Alpha2 and MySQL.

    Just installed MySQL 5.6.12 and now I can confirm this issue :(

    So for now I can only recommend to stick with MySQL 5.5 and wait for a fix. The problem is, that we would need to shorten the "Path" column only to fit for MySQL unique-index-key-length limit, which is not really good.

    Maybe we should put more effort into full SqlLite support...

    As it's faster than MySQL and did not need any extra installation I would recommend that too. I'm using SQLite daily without issues. Only thing that did not work is TVE 3.5...

    As these are boolean, did you try:

    Little follow up. I tried also "set ... = 1", which internally gets translated into "ON". So parameters should be fine.

    But there seems to be different behaviour in differnt MySQL versions: http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=68453
    I also am having the same issue on the Windows version of MySQL 5.6.10. However, the linux version of MySQL 5.6.10 operates with a silent truncation and still creates the index. Current documentation stipulates that the server will silently truncate the column.

    Hi,
    Has anyone tested the MySQL plugin with MP2 alpha 3?
    So what I have done;
    MySQL 5.5 installed.
    MP2 installed
    MP2 server stopped
    SQLCEDatabase replaced by Mysql Database from first page. (C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Team MediaPortal \ MP2-Server \ Plugins).
    Probably I did something stupid, but the server crashed.
    Here are my server logs.
