Hello.
Up to now, I haven't really bothered with many of the plugins for mediaportal, but I have been experimenting a bit and realised that I have been missing out. I have been trying MP-TV series and Moving Images and they seem great.
I have, so far, only tried these plugins on my single seat set up but not my client machines.
If I did put these plugins onto my client machines, the client would just save the various artwork on its own hard drive. However, it did occur to me that it would make sense for the client to get all its art work from the main machine rather than updating itself each time.
I have had a scan through the forum and it seems that this is by no means a new idea, but there are some mixed feelings as to whether sharing a database this way is a good idea.
What is the current school of thought on this at the moment?
Is it worth trying to do or should I just let each machine keep updating the information itself?
